Symposium: 28th-29th June, 2018

After a one year break to support Asia’s growing healthcare simulation community with the inaugural S3 event in Singapore, SimGHOSTS announces that we will return to Australia in 2018 to our original host: The University of the Sunshine Coast. Save the date to join us next 27th-29th of June! SimGHOSTS’ new Global Operations Manager Kirrian Steer will be the event director, with support from Dr. Patrea Anderson and her team at USC.

Special Australia Partners

In an effort to build upon international relationships to support the global healthcare simulation community, SimGHOSTS is pleased to announce our special partners for the 2018! We could not be more excited to support and collaborate with Simulation Australasia, Australian Society for Simulation in Healthcare (ASSH), and Serious Games Australia.

For 2018 the Simulation Australasia membership requested a specialized and focused meeting for those engaging with simulation specifically in healthcare. Having previously provided three Australia-based events of a smaller scope than the massive combined audiences of all Simulation Australasia industries (healthcare, military, aviation, mining, and more), SimGHOSTS was the perfect host and collaborative partner for the 2018 Simulation Australasia meeting.

With an eye towards the future, Kirrian Steer of SimGHOSTS said “This collaborative event will bring together simulation champions from a variety of clinical, educational, managerial and technical backgrounds enabling attendees to best network, learn, and share with one another and our specialized vendor industry.”

About Simulation Australasia, The Australian Society for Simulation in Healthcare (ASSH), and the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge Australasia

Simulation Australasia is delighted to join the 7th annual Serious Games Showcase & Challenge Australasia(SGSCA) and be a partner in SimGHOSTS 2018.

Simulation Australasia is and has always been a member based volunteer organization that exists due to the belief of many that simulation is increasingly important and integral to employment and industry. We are strategically placed to engage and enable innovative and interactive collaborations across industry and government, with a track record in research, collaboration and networking.

Our health community Australian Society of Simulation in Healthcare ASSH and Professional Development team are joining forces promote, engage and collaborate simulation education, training and research to enhance the safety and quality in healthcare. ASSH represents a cross-section of the Australasian healthcare community who share simulation as a common interest, including healthcare professionals, academics, industry groups and policy makers. ASSH via Simulation Australasia Ltd is affiliated with the international Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The Professional Development team recommends strategic direction and training to enhance and promote simulation across industries.
